I got this really interesting guitar in today.. Never seen one in the flesh.. I also didn't know it was a Teisco before I looked it up which means cheapo Japanese guitar.. So I wasn't quite sure what to expect..
And oh my.. What amazing condition its in, it looks like it could be just a few years old.. They didn't do any more recent re-issues of this did they? Which means from what I know of Teisco its a late 60s early 70s guitar which they used to sell in Woolworths for like £60 In saying that it looks way too new.. Ive been looking it up and it seems that there may have indeed been some reissues in the 90s but I cant find much info on them yet.
Ive given it a brief check over.. Neck is fine even though those frets are tiny... The electrics all seem original and also in good nick (but one place where I can see some age)... The main issues are the tuners for which hes given me a new set too install and theres some major buzzing coming from somewhere around the bridge area but I couldn't see anything obvious (even though its a roller bridge which im always a bit suspect of)... So I will need too check that out further once the strings are off.

Different pickups but I think it is a reissue.
Yeah.. I knew it couldn't be an original... But couldn't quite work out exactly what it was at first. And you are right its an Eastwood reissue from 2005 Still really nice for a 13 year old guitar.

That's like saying a burst is really nice for a 60 year old guitar.
What do you mean??? Why wouldn't I say that?
