Ive ‘neatened’ the solder, bypassing pedal still works fine for dry signal but nothing when I stomp the on switch. Anything blatantly wrong?

Clean off all the solder, carefully clean round the pad and make sure there is nothing bridging the gap, and then add a *small* amount of new solder.
The only ones that are meant to be connected to the ground area have the little 'spokes' across the gap.
