Good isn’t it! ;-)

Not quite up to doing a full review yet but I really, really, really like it. One reason for buying it was that my kit-built Peach Fuzz clone (which I was and am otherwise very happy with) seemed to have started disappearing in the mix with my band for some reason[1] - the WA doesn’t so much cut through as rip bleeding holes in space-time (in a good way).

Very versatile too, equally at home doing spluttery dieing battery chaos or more traditionally musical vintage Bender/Face type tones and can even edge into Muff territory.

It looks good too - not the Art Deco opulence of the Sandare or Zola but a lovely crisp, clean piece of design in its own right.

Great work @Magnetic_Effects - totally delivers on the promise of vintage inspired (and more!) tones in a package which slots into any rig without buffer/PSU/whatever related fussiness. One afternoon at home, one gig, and I’m utterly smitten with it and actively looking for ways to use it more often in the set!

[1] Not sure what changed, could have been arrangements evolving in the wake of replacing our Other Guitarist, could have been something in the way I set my amp up, could be that our band mix just changed a bit...
Don't ask me, I just play the damned thing...

  • They're a great pedal. I never got on with fuzz until I got one of these. There is an added benefit that they can go pretty much anywhere in the signal chain so no dicking around with before/after the wah.

Fairly unique sound in a world of fuzz. The texture knob is a great addition.

    Yes, yes it is.

Replaced my Big Muff Nano with a White Atom, it's a brilliant pedal. So versatile, yet I've hardly moved settings for 6 months as it sounds so good.

Best drive / dirt / fuzz pedal I've ever owned by some distance.

    Thought I'd add...

I place mine after a Mooer Yellow Comp and a DOD Looking Glass on low gain. It responds really well to any on / off combination in front of it.

  • I might have to shift my veteran Ge in the new year. Any change I get I just might have to go for one of these. V3 though :)

  • Just picked one of these up.

Trying to work out where to put it in the chain. Are you guys using it before or after other drives/boosts?

They can go anywhere in the chain, they're not fussy like other fuzzes. I tend to put drives in order of filth, from low to high gain, with a gainy mid boost at the end for solos.

Fuzz first, then decreasing amounts of gain. There's no 'right' answer though. Experiment and see what sounds best to you.

Yeah that's clearly the right answer but I'm lazy :-)

Wow, I just checked out the ProGuitarshop demo. What a great pedal. I've recently bought a Boss FZ-1W, but a White Atom could be in my future.
