I don't spend a lot of time feeling iritated about stuff these days, and if I do there's usually something that can be done to deal with whatever is causing me stress.
However.
The Behringer pedal that I'm waiting for is still "somewhere", most likely in the care of HM Customs, and not only does it appear nothing can be done about how long it will take to clear, there is no way to contact them to find out what's going on.
There may be good reason for this, but I've no idea what it could be.
I lost a Musicman Bass in UK customs for 7 weeks once, which finally turned up with no warning and no duties, much to my surprise, so I'm fully aware that this can happen, but it's still annoying.

If it's a delay then it will be flagged for close inspection for being an improvised echo device.
'Delay pedal'.
I see what you did there.

OMG!
I've just got back from visiting my Dad in Devon, and on the mat was a card from Royal Mail !
I've got £17.59 to pay in duties etc., which for a pedal that cost me $57.60 (£42) seems a bit on the steep side but nevertheless I can go and pick it up tomorrow
£8, so still nearly a tenner on £40 seems a bit much, but I've had others come through with no charge, so swings and roundabouts
Sorry, I meant the rest, not the £8.
£9.59, which was for VAT.
The pedal's here now, so time to muck about
