I have done three re frets jobs before and I am about to start my 4th on a used guitar I have just got , All the guitars I have re fretted have had binding and so does this guitar, it was made in the 70s and I noticed its probably had a re fret before and who ever did it last has sanded the binding on a slope so the fret wire is not over the top of the binding only the fret board width , Is this ok and will it be enough to play ? I normally leave the fret wire over the binding but as the binding has been sanded down there is nothing to rest the fret wire ends on , guess it sort of bugs me more than anything but would like advice from more experienced minded people..

That said i would allways get the fret nipper and take the fret to the edge of the neck binding
