UK pedal repairs - can anyone recommend someone?

Hi folks, I recently fried my MIJ DD2 by accidentally plugging 18V into it. I clipped the protection diode so the pedal is back to life, but I assume it's now unprotected against any future over voltage. I'd like the diode replaced, and the PCB traces checked/repairs as necessary. I googled pedal repairs and emailed two or three of the ones I found, but didn't get a single reply. Does anyone know someone who could help me? Thanks.

I've used Martin Owen of Owen Electronics in the past, he's a top man.

Not sure if juansolo doesn't do repairs.  He sure does great pedals.

Another vote for JPF ... and ICBM ...

Frankly what those chaps don't know isn't worth knowing... either of them and you'll be reet.

As for Juansolo , yes... yes he does make great pedals - his soldering is impeccable.
A sig-nat-eur? What am I meant to use this for ffs?! Is this thing recording?

Swapping out the diode should take all of 5 mins for anyone competent with a soldering iron. If you can't find anyone local to do it, bob it over I'd I'll sort it.

Badgerific on the old MR forum has done a fair bit for me. But I've misplaced his email address. Anyone know if he's now on here or got his contact details?

I've used Martin Owen too and was very pleased with both the service and the price.  Seems a top bloke.

    Glad I found this thread.

My Wampler Sovereign has gone all farty when it used to be really tight sounding.

I shall contact Owen Electronics and see what the craic is. I really like that pedal, but I bought it from the USA before it was available in EU shops.

I'd be happy to do it as well - but try to find someone local first as juansolo said. The cost of posting it over here and back would be about the same as the repair, and there's always a risk that Royal Fail will lose it.

Considering the EU proce of the pedal is now about £200 (I paid about £160 including import taxes etc) I don't mind spending the postage money!

Another vote for Owen Electronics. He took my dodgy old Pearl analog delay, fitted new jacks, sorted out some wiring and (I think) recapped it and it sounds superb.
