£550 £500 £480. £450. WITHDRAWN - keeping.A Unique Guitar:When I first bought this it was an imported Japanese Epiphone Les Paul Special that had been made only for the Japanese market in Japan. Very high quality. It purported to be TV Yellow but in reality it was Homer Simpson puke green/yellow and looked absolutely disgusting. Despite this I willingly bought it because it played and sounded as good as any P90 Les Paul type guitar I had ever played. In the fullness of time I had the original pick ups changed to Jason Lollar P90'S and also had the guitar completely dismantled and stripped of the hideous finish. Luckily it was a beautiful Mahogany below and with loving care and attention and oiling it now looks majestic.
All work was carried out by Charlie Chandler at great expense but has in my opinion proved worth it.
I am only selling as I mostly play acoustic these days and have moved to a smaller property so have been reluctantly selling guitars and gear that I really cant justify keeping. There is a slight ding on the front lower edge but purely cosmetic and I'm sure could be rubbed out if someone knows what they are doing. But it is purely cosmetic and a bit of natural reliccing.
I strongly urge anyone to come and play and hear this guitar for yourself.
Collection in person only from near to Dorking in Surrey.

In fact I am only prepared to sell to someone who collects so you are very welcome by arrangement to come and if for any reason you do not like the guitar then there is no expectation or pressure.I have a Gibson gig bag for the guitar.I would also consider a trade for a telecaster provided it fits the following criteria:Rosewood neck.Light in weight ( 7 1/2 lbs max)Relatively slim neck profile (Definitely not a baseball bat)
Comments
Tele - must be slim rosewood neck and the guitar weight less than 7.5 pounds.
The neck profile is apparently a '59 roundback. Not slim but certainly No baseball bat.
Made in Japan and released for the Japanese market and was not available for sale outside of Japan. The guitar is pretty light weight, resonant and balanced; it's noticeably SOLID, like a Gibson, and plays like a champ. It features a '59 round back neck profile which is thicker and has more 'back' to it than a '60s slim profile. This guitar has a traditional 'open book' Gibson style headstock. The original open gear Gotoh tuning machines hold the tuning so well that they've never needed to be replaced [and the white button caps give the guitar a cool, vintage look.] The fretboard has dot inlays and white binding.

Gibson Japan Epiphone Les Paul Special
The "Made in Japan" 2006 Japanese Gibson Epiphone Les Paul Special is straight from Japan's Legendary plant Fujigen. This rare Beauty is a very hard to find Gibson Epiphone Les Paul Special. You can tell these models apart by the different "Epiphone" headstock logo. This guitar features many true vintage and premium features not even found in current Gibson USA production line Les Pauls . This guitar also features the Gibson open book headstock (headstocks that are exactly like Les Pauls, without the missing corners like current Epiphones). The Epiphone Japan guitars that were intended for export outside of Japan do not have a Gibson style open book headstock. These Gibson made Limited Edition Epiphone series were only produced from 2005-2007 and are no longer being made. They are becoming rare to find.
Highly desirable notable premium features:
Just weighed on kitchen scales - 6.14 Lbs or it showed 3.13 Kg which actually is 6.9 lbs so I am suggesting somewhere around the 7 pound mark.
