I really enjoyed playing on Alright Now it was the last song for me on the day, was feeling a lot more relaxed by then and had a bit of prep time with @Guitar_Slinger which was really good to see what we were both playing and it felt relaxed to play.

Like the longer version a lot especially with the bass solo, and the 2 solos sounded great, think it followed Alright Now  Honky Tonk V1 which was equally enjoyable.

I’d be interested to hear White Room if there’s is a recording, as I want to see how close to falsetto I strained my voice to on that bloody chorus!!
@mrkb I sang and played that at Huddersfield and it can be a real stretch vocally. I feel for you!

The Just What I Needed solo was a big leap for me as I 'inherited' it when the person due to play lead.had to pull out of the event. Although I was unable to play it cleanly at tempo on the day, I got to try and gained valuable experience as a result, but only because of the generosity and support of everyone else who played on the track. Thank you bandmates!
You did it very well indeed in the circumstances (one take, playing with people you'd never met, etc).

Afternoon... I would have got more done today for you all... However, 4 hours in a&e this afternoon has scuppered my days plans... Just what I needed Eh?

    Which brings me nicely onto:

    Calling @TTony, @McToot, @Brocco and @slacker ;;

Apologies for being off key and respect to brocco for the solos, they weren't easy and the band were tight even though it was the first run through for that line up.
This was the one I was most worried about on the day but the one I've enjoyed hearing the most.

I think with with a couple of rehearsals, a beer and a fair wind, we'd knock that out of the park.

    Well done fellers!

@poopot - thanks again and I hope you recover for, the injury

Ok... well now you mention honky tonk V1...

we only have two guitar parts recorded... it is looking like the lads didn’t activate the track with the lead part on it... I have just checked the stems and I can hear a faint solo in the background

I have @Guitar_Slinger down as playing that part, is that the case?

Yes he was, I was playing the “awesomest rhythm” guitar innit, so would be happy to hear a solo free version just to hear how it sounded ;-)

Let’s see if we can’t reinstate the lead part first...

  • I think they didn't activate the track with me on because I walked into he room and plugged in after everything had started. :)

Don't worry about the lead part... I played exactly the same on the second version where peoe can all hear it there.  Only it was less ropey the second time around. :/

For a group of guitarists without a real vocalist amongst us, I'd say that the vocals are high enough in the mix
    ;)
