I’d probably fix me car, but that would feel like I havent got much out of it except the ability to get to work for the next decade.. hmm.
Deffo guitar related item I think. But what?!
My long service award is due too, in October.. but we just get a disc in a frame with our name on.. I could sell it for scrap mind..
Used to get some champagne too but they cut that out a few years back the wankers.
Nah, I'd get myself a new camera lens or put £500 towards camera kit to trade in old stuff against.
I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to
I came here to write those 2!
homewise: a new bed, an alvar aalto hall chair or a wall projector for watching films big.
personal: matching black leather jacket and trousers to get that 'beatles in hamburg' look. some decent fake furs. a fancy made-to-measure dress. a nice haircut, maybe something to brighten up my face (peel/laser). most of that is pretty vain, but hey ho, i'm ill a lot so worry that it shows.
other people: something for my mum on her allotment (tools or plants) or for her horse hobby (tack etc), her life obsessions. as i will probably outlive her that is probably the wisest thing, because i will have longer to save up for the other things.
final decision... my mum. seeing her happy would probably make me happier and stay in my memory longer than having any of the other things.
so i would say that to the op. maybe buying yourself something is actually the wrong starting point. maybe treat a family member and make your memories of seeing them happy your treat. things are just things, but feelings and memories are really important.
