This is a short scale, bolt on neck affair and the opening offer to the Epiphone bass line up. As you'd imagine it's not the most beautifully crafted instrument and while the fit and finish are really good, for playing you have to choose between a silky low action or eliminating the last bit of fret buzz. I think this is just the deal with budget, short scale basses.
Plugged in it sounds immense and that stonking great pickup tucked into the neck really sounds just as fat, huge and thumping as you'd hope.

The last of the three is one that's been up here a few times now and it's a bit sad to put it out for sale again so soon.
It came to me from our very own @merlin and is going because I listened to our very own @TheMarlin and have a build in progress that's very similar. A build I've actually only started because I really like this very pure Tele and want my own individual take on the idea.
Anyway..... it's this fantastic Snakehead Tele £400
I didn't form an instant bond with this guitar at all when it arrived and it took a good week or more of playing and and total change of setup feel for me to get that connection. I think the reason is the very non fender feeling neck. It looks like a fender, it sounds like a fender but the feel is a broader and much more like my Duesenburg or Ibanez.
It's beautifully put together, looks and feels totally authentic. I've got the pickup getting really friendly with the strings and this things growls, snarls and spits in a way that's guaranteed to make you smile. Roll back a little of the volume and it smooths out while still having nice Tele snap.

This sale and the others I'll be putting up in amp, effects and parts are all about clearing some space and recouping some of the cash I've spent recently through the forums good influence. So naturally, I'm not against being offered tempting trades.
This one is a bit special. It came to me from the fabulous @Norwegian_Blue tagged here because he still probably knows more about it than I do.
Its originally from Cameron MacKenzie guitars, around July 2016. Originally Olympic White, it's been refinished in a gorgeous, aged Lake Placid Blue Nitro. The Bigsby was added at the same time and the pickups are specially chosen from Lollar and a Fralin, to make sure the sound is perfect.
In short, start from good place and then make it all better.
As you can see, this is no museum piece and wears its wear well. The overall effect is a well used and weathered but much loved guitar. The bridge pickup has lots of sweet tele style snap to it and being that bit fatter than a normal tele single coil responds beautifully when you crank the gain a little and get into good riffage territory. The neck pickup will crunch just as well but is massively rich and warm, makes me think of being hit by huge rain drops. Has a big round initial strike and then a softer liquid roll off. The neck is pure tele, a nice rounded C thats not fat or slim with what feels like a 9.5 radius and medium frets.
I went up at £750 when I bought it, I'd like to see £650 back £550
I have a few too many boxes around at the mo, so if you want to pay for a courier, I'll get it boxed up all safe and sound.
And here it is doing what it does...... looking gorgeous!!
