Shrewsbury Town season ticket holder and Shrewsbury born and bred.
Q2: Where in the world/country are you?
Shrewsbury is a great place to live but I now live in Telford.
Q3: What's your main musical ambition?
Started learning guitar 6 months ago at the age of 51. I'd like to teach it eventually, for spare cash in my retirement!
Q4: Your "best" bit of gear - just the one?
Complete novice with a Stagg acoustic. I don't think I'd appreciate anything better - yet! Electric will be on the agenda at some stage but at the moment I'm just enjoying playing my acoustic.
Q5: Your #1 ever track - again, just the one?
Mr Tambourine Man - Byrds not Dylan
I never thought I had a musical bone in my body and my ex-butchers fingers struggle to stretch very far. Not great attributes for a wannabe guitar player, but I am getting there....slowly. At the moment my chief ambition is to play at least one barre chord clearly!
Loving my new hobby. I've learned patience, how to de-stress and learned that I can do stuff I thought I'd never be able to do.
Q1: Where did you username come from?
Paddy von Layzonfon. A wizard wheeze for a pseudonym I had when I was planning to contact the late, great Sir Terrence of Wogan on the Radio 2 breakfast show. Never did get around to that. Say it out loud and try to recall your O-level French.

Derby, UK. Just North actually - Belper.

My Vox ToneLab SE. And all my guitars, of course.
Q5: Your #1 ever track - again, just the one?

Don't make me choose between them, it's not fair on them.. they'll get upset
Q5: Your #1 ever track - again, just the one?
Suzi (wants her all day what?) - Extreme
Username comes from a restaurant in Spain that I visited once but which was instrumental in setting off a chain of events that totally transformed my life, some of which were not unrelated to a mid-life crisis.
I am sporadically in the UK but mainly in Europe touring in my campervan, or at home in my house in Hungary.
I would describe myself as an intermediate beginner starting over, I played a little in my "younger" days, but now have more time to devote to learning/progressing.
My ambition is simply to get competent enough to extract maximum enjoyment from my playing and maybe, if opportunity presents, play with others.
I have a MIM Tele, a Hohner L59 Les Paul, Tanglewood acoustic, Yamaha TR5 and just bought a Roland Blues Cube Hot.
At this stage I would have to say the THR5 is my "fave/best" bit of kit.
Best ever track? Probably Ziggy Stardust.
Big fan of Mick Ronson!
Q1: Where did you username come from?
Used to work for a computer games company years ago - I designed an end-of-level character called the 'uberboss', and somehow wound up getting called 'uberscott'.

Berkshire
Q3: What's your main musical ambition?
Get back to playing regular gigs.
Q4: Your "best" bit of gear - just the one?
1995 LP Standard, 'Krusty'. I've had it since new, gigged the hell out of it. It'd be the last guitar I'd sell.
Q5: Your #1 ever track - again, just the one?
Coming Back to Life by Pink Floyd.
It's what the old wrinklies called me...
