  • Hadn't quite realised - even watching the Andertons vid - just how small the Stomp is. This promo makes it clear, the thing is tiny.

  • Isn’t the 3A power requirement going to make it tough to power up on a board with an isolated supply?
According to the live stream on evh channel with line 6 Rep some 3rd party power supplies will work but they cant officially say it, but he says the strymon stuff for instance is all good

Certainly interests me as a small package especially for recording. Full Fat Helix was always a bit OTT for my needs.

i was quite surprised at Lee Anderton, fine to explain a bit  about what’s missing and the difference but he seemed to be obsessed about the negatives, beat that horse into the ground.

Think it will be more than enough for the average user

I think Lee was on the money   tbh, probably easier to say what it hadn't got in relation to the Helix LT etc

So just to be clear, HX Stomp has every model that the full Helix has. Everything!
Sorry, thicko here - including the looper?
    Absolutely.
Ooh. Ta. That might make it a perfect little chum to an electric cello...

From a retailer's point of view, perhaps less profit and this focus on the cheaper version might sway sales towards it?

So, I can see people are talking about using it with a Helix HX but as with the HX, can you add a couple of your favourite pedals, like ODs and control them from this unit?

I only ask as I'd love to be able to integrate this on my board, probably using some of my own separate pedals but also taking fx and amp models from this and controlling the lot from the Stomp. Also, if there are bass amp models in this, it could replace my Zoom B3 and so one board, or unit, does the lot OR as a spare rig

  • The Stomp plus Behringer's inexpensive MIDI board would make a very decent rig, saving quite a bit over the full fat Helix.

It has a loop, which is switchable and routable per patch.

Well, actually a stereo loop - which may be splittable into two mono loops.

Yes one stereo or two mono loops according to the manual, you just need one of these

    Thanks Sporky.

So, we get snap shots on this one, too? Just watched the Anderton's vid, and you do :)

Do we know what the actual draw is on this? I know it's showing 3A on the back of the unit and in the video, they don't talk about Cioks power supplies having been tested with them (they seem to favour the Strymons as an external power supply to their own, recommended one).

  • So this thing is also an audio interface? I’m starting to think you’d need to be mad not to have one.

  • I’ve just realised it’s basically a POD!!!!!

But with the HX engine.. which will appeal to many.
Also, if anyone wants to design a new board around this, it's already on pedal playground.
What is this pedal playground you refer to?? (Off to google it..)
    My trading feedback

is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?
