Fake Fender Stratocaster

Spot a fake Fender Stratocaster guitar with some of these tell-tell give aways. Also, this video demonstrates the sound of the fake Strat. Kind of a review too, as the guitar actually sounds pretty good from my point of view. Would be interested in what others think and if they have had experience(s) of fake guitars.

Did you buy it used? The mismatch on the heel finish fading would suggest that.
Therefore it's difficult to say if the tuners are genuine Fender or not. Some fakes ship with Fender branded tuners but they are fake - possibly made in the same factory who make Fenders (Ping Wells) but made with cheaper metal/parts. Check Aliexpress for examples.
    Some other tell-tale signs...
Font/typeset of the serial number. They never get this right.
    Heel transition too rounded.
Plastic gasket on neckplate. Genuine Fenders don't have this and genuine Fender neckplates don't ship with them. See first result on Aliexpress for "Fender neck plate".
The electronics would also be a dead giveaway.

Pretty certain the guitar is a fake. It even feels fake. :D Thank you for your comment and extra info! :)

A quick guide is the position of the truss rod hole .The headstock  is too deep and always is  on these guitars .On Fenders its nearer the bottom of the fret board .

The guitar is riddled with 'holes'. Lots more giveaways have been spotted since the video was made.
