Apogee Duet Firewire to usb 3?

Is there an adaptor or lead I can get to use my old apogee duet ( the 1st gen FireWire one) to go to my windows laptop with usb 3?

Debating if it’s a good idea to buy helix native while its on sale, but at the moment I’m using the LT as the recording interface, and it seems wasterful to buy the software if I’m using the hardware .

The only FireWire adapters I have ever seen are 400 to 800, 800 to Thunderbolt and 800 to USB 2.0.

For users of an IBM-compatible tower computer, the most practical solution would be to slot in a FireWire card. The data conversion occurs in the computer.
    Be seeing you.

  • OWC make a hub thats USB C/Thunderbolt 3 with a Firewire port but its 360 quid. Alternatively you can buy a firewire to thunderbolt adapter and daisy chain it with a Thunderbolt to Thunderbolt 3 adapter
