    Great to see a decent number of entries and congrats to everyone for a start - I couldn't get my head around the timing on this one at all!

    5 points @ChrisRG - felt the most at one with the backing, the tone was great and the harmony section at the end lifted it up too.
    3 points @Bellycaster - some cool ideas going on
    3 points @Haych - very melodic & worked with the track.

    Well done everyone for getting their heads round this one.

    5 points - @Bellycaster - This one sat with the backing the best for me. The melody was chilled and understated and the phrases hit the beats.

    3 points - @Haych - Really nice melodies here as well. The phrasing was good and it ended nicely

    1 point - @flying_pie  - I really liked the first half of the solo. Nice melodic ideas that fitted well.

    I was a bit worried the 13/8 time signature might put people off. Great that so many went for it and entered.

    5 points @AlexHunter ; Good feel, phrasing and expression, with some nice note flurries. A floating feel that seems to suit the backing.

    3 points @Bellycaster ;  Good fit to the backing as usual. Brought a 'Floyd' type of sound to the piece.

    1 point @ChrisRG ;  Really liked the start. The early bends brought to mind Cause We've Ended As Lovers (Jeff Beck). Ended with some nice harmonies.

  • Wow, that was probably the toughest solo challenge so far for me. Well played to everyone for having a pop at it.

    My top 3 choices were very hard to separate and I chose them because the stood out as having excellent spacing and phrasing as well as some nifty embellishments. But one has to win, I just preferred ChrisRG's ending, it was that close.

    5 Points @ChrisRG ;

    3 Points @AlexHunter ;

    1 Point @Haych -  very imaginative melody you put over this and nice choice of tone.

    This is tough, all are very good in their own way, to whittle it down to a choice of three is really hard, and harder still to decide how to score my top three:

    5 Points @AlexHunter

    3 Points @Bellycaster

    1 Point @ChrisRG ;

    All three had great awareness of the odd time signature and great phrasing and imagination in their own ways.  Its a shame to have to rank any of them let alone pick just three.

    There is no 'H' in Aych, you know that don't you? ~ Wife

    Turns out there is an H in Haych! ~ Sporky

    Bit of trading feedback here.

  • 5 points @Bellycaster ; because that little half step bend at the end was sweet.

    3 points @Haych because I liked the mahoosive bend at 44 seconds.

    1 point @stratman3142 because the trem and harmonic use was tasty.

     @markv I assume the 2nd one in your list was 3 points and the final one was 1 point (not 3 points). Let me know if not.
