Strings for acoustics..

In the blissfully ignorant before time, i had a cheap £55 acoustic, a Johnston cut away. I put Ernie Ball electric guitar 9's on it.. and i loved that guitar.. still do, feels great and really twangy

I also have a Faith Naked Venus, which has thick strings on, sounds totally amazing, but being so big and thick doesn't feel so good..

Is there a happy medium set of strings that will keep the full thickness of the acoustic thick strings, but the smoothness of electric guitar strings?

I tend to use Martin Phosphor Bronze (not the 80/20) or Elixir Nanoweb depending on the guitar. 11s or 12s - my electrics tend to get strung with 10s so the difference isn't hugely noticeable unless you try to do a monster bend with one finger.

Phospher Bronze is a good recommendation for starters. Depending on the woods (mainly the top but also the sides and back), the size of the body and whether you are trying to make the sound fuller, warmer, more rounded, or sharper, less boomy, more articulated, other strings may provide you with your desired sound and feel.
