> An ebony (rosewood, or maple) fingerboard
> A 24.75" scale length
> Humbuckers that manage classic hard rock and traditional jazz
> A hardtail or Floyd Rose bridge
> A weight of 8lbs or less
> A preferably chunky neck with good upper fret access
...And costs less than £2K (ideally less than £1.5K...or less than £1K)
First thought is a Yamaha SA2200 and although they're great, I wanted to see if there's something more exciting to be looking at. I like superstrats, semi-acoustics and jazz boxes.
I also like the idea of going acoustic for the first time, but I wouldn't know where to start.

Lovely guitat!
If you fancy something bigger bodied (335 size) and semi-hollow, their Manta Ray or Kyle Shutt signature would fit your description too.
I'd look for an old Shecter C-1 Deluxe. Ebony board, 24.75" scale, fat neck, good upper fret access and nice versatile humbuckers. A friend of mine has one and it's an astonishing guitar for the price. Possibly not what you've got in mind but I figured a left-field suggestion is better than no suggestion!
