WANTED Party band for event on Isle of Wight

Can any of you suggest a band who would be suitable for a party type event i.e. dancing etc? Party is on Saturday 9th March

    I'm amazed that no one knew of any party band for my friends do this coming weekend to recommend. Too late now of course

    I think it's the IOW thing.  It's far more hassle to get over there and back for a gig - not sure what the band scene is like on the island itself?

    Yeah I know what you mean. My band would've done it of course but taking into account the ferry crossing, fuel and staying over probably, would've just made the gig fee too expensive. Music scene over there can only be for islanders I reckon :(

    Yeah you’re right. I saw a blues band play at the pilot boat inn, bembridge last year. They were good but didn’t want a blues band. Sounds like a gap in the market over there

    Only just seen this post, in fact its the first time in this bit o the forum....
    Its a funny ol place to live, on the South Island, ferries restrict such a lot...

    However for future reference a local band Ska'd for Life are superb and great fun, they've played the IOW festival too.....
