Ok... so... turned up at the farm today to find that magic pixies had given the jnr a coat of white!!!!!

Darren swears blind it wasn’t him but I suspect he got carried away with the spray gun...

Seeing as I’d been robbed of the fun part, boredom quickly set in...

I decided that whilst one junior is good... two is better... so... yep... you guessed it... I started another

body all routed, just neck pocket to do...

Neck roughed out, Truss Rod channel cut, truss Rod made...

So there you are... a productive day... and... the second junior will prolly be up for sale, fretted, set up but unfinished and without hardware if anyone takes a shine to it

Ok... been a while... so an update...

after weeks of messing around with various techniques to get an authentic tv finish... we’ve had an eureka moment...

now using poopots patented secret tv method it finally looks right!...

less than 24 hours ago it was (yet again) stripped back to bare wood... mahogany to tv yellow in double quick time!!!!

    clear coats next :)

I'm glad we sorted that finish out as it was a nightmare before, just clear coats next week then in the freezer after that, colour looks really good and a nice guitar

I appreciate the input and we both agreed this finish has been a pita up to this point, not anymore  =)

The DC was done using the method as talked about...

the SC was painted after I experimented on some scrap... got the same result but it’s a lot quicker now... and consistent

That’s looking proper. Nice shade and darkened grain showing through. Good work!
