Telecaster Pot confusion

Can someone give me some advice on pots specifically 500k, standard non split pots.
What are some high end brand pots? Cts? Is alpha just as good at a lower price?
Solid shaft? Vintage dimple? Audio taper? Huh!?
Just standard 500k help please

CTS, Bourns, DiMarzio Pro Parts (Custom taper CTS). I cannot remember who makes the “Yngwie” pots for Seymour Duncan.

The convention for regular single coil Telecaster and Esquire circuits is audio taper 250k pots. Solid metal control knobs screw onto solid shaft pots. Plastic knobs push onto split splined shafts.

Some vintage Telecaster models with the Wide Range humbucker had 1Meg pots.

500k pots are only appropriate for Telecaster models with conventional humbuckers, P90s or Filter’Tron type pickups.
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

Right that does help. So 500k with single coils won't work or sound bad?
I have seen cts around a lot so I'll probably go with them

A500k pots will work with single coil pickups but the overall sound may become excessively trebly.

Some Chinese-made Fender/Squier Telecasters may come with budget 500k pots.
