perspex sheet off 'the bay'  ?

I usually make all my own cavity covers, truss rod covers & (small) pickguards from either 3mm or 5mm for the cavity covers

about 5£ for an a5 sheet approx

    Or scratch plate sheets.

Or do the job properly and put a nice piece of 2mm thick wood in there.  Maybe something that contrasts with the back of the body, or compliments it, whatever.

But then I really don’t like nice guitars that have cheap bits of plastic on them, unnecessarily!
Having trouble posting images here?  This might help.

ABS sheet is cheap on eBay. Much cheaper than buying specialist pickguard material and perfect for cavity covers.
