Anyone going to Techfest?

I’ll be there all weekend playing utterly inappropriate country licks while someone in next room plays a drum blast as someone else is singing. When I say singing, I mean sounding like they’re trying to crap out a Mercedes Sprinter.

Oh, we’ll also be hanging out with Felix Martin and Oli Steele on the stand. Pop over and say hi.

I play guitar and take photos of stuff. I also like beans on toast.

The rule is the less legible the band name the heavier they are.

    Jon Gomm!

Was on tonight so you've already missed the only act I have any idea who they are.
Tipton is a small fishing village in the borough of Sandwell.

No, but I will be going to FrightFest.

I've heard of very, very few of the bands in that lineup, although I may have heard of one or two of the illegible ones.

I'm still trying to decipher the logos.

It was good actually. I was surprised by the lack of body odour. Newark Showground has a decent shower building so all good there.

It it was basically 4 days of music I don’t understand with the odd band playing an actual melody.  Lots of shouting. Lots of what appeared to be very angry people that turned out to be really lovely.

Got it to hang out with Felix Martin (mental, check him out) and the Monuments guys. Everyone was really cool. Worth going if you like metal. Not your typical festival.

Gear wise it was us and Claas guitars. Handmade stuff from Germany. Alex who makes them is a lovely guy and if that style of guitar is your thing, we’ll worth a look. Very interesting trem system that he’s designed. Ball bearing based. Smooth as a freshly shaved smooth thing.

I play guitar and take photos of stuff. I also like beans on toast.
