This is the usual final step in Gibson QC.

Are Gibson moving into the bulldozer market now?

Maybe they are pre-breaking them for the next time a Gibson CEO wants to look cool and smash a guitar on stage but doesn't actually have the strength to break one.

What a completely stupid, selfish & thoughtless waste.  They could have been sold to help fund clean water for kids in Africa, donate to a cancer charity, or other worthy cause. Or give the guitars to kids that want to learn but can't afford a guitar, or schools Sorry, but this pisses me off and I find it offensive and not remotely amusing (just to be clear guys, NOT aimed at OP - aimed at the thoughtless dick that organised this crass stunt.)   p
I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)

Firebird X can be a tricky sell to be fair.

It seems as if this is generating a clickbait/kneejerk effect, without there being any context or evidence as yet.

There's a hell of a lot of excess testosterone swilling around at Gibson nowadays.

Surely better to blow these out for £500 a piece at Peach - just watch how many people would have back tracked from their FireBird X stance, Brits love a bargain.

No offence taken: I’m mystified. And agree that they should have been given to schools or auctioned for charity or sent to someone that could make use of them. The destruction seems so wasteful .

That’s an extraordinarily wasteful thing to do. Surely the electronics, tuners and bridges can all be recycled? It’s not even funny or clever.

Gibson are so weird at the moment.

I hope that's an "authentic" Caterpillar bulldozer they're using for this particularly pointless stunt.
I can never forgive Gibson for robbing my life of the 3 minutes it took to watch that stupid video.

Am I the only weirdo that's a bit disappointed this thread isn't actually about compression?

This thread is about puns and wordplay Gummy, the clue is in the title.

Por ejemplo: the guy's just laying down a couple of tracks on his guitars.

    Try it, it's quite liberating.
