For Friday from me, it's another classic that is truly timeless.

It's Sunday so time for a great track from Louis Cole and Genevieve Artadi AKA 'Knower'.
Budget level grooves really don't come better.

The retro computer graphics are awesome too!

Now here comes a classic from the early 80s'

Turn It On from Level 42. from their debut album which IMHO was their finest moment.
At that time these guys were hitting well above their weight as this superb track shows.

Nice one @exocet, that is just a true classic AWB track and the guitar lick is just wonderful.

Today it's the turn of a golden 80s dance funk by the legendary George Benson.
    Two versions on show here:

This first being the original up tempo cut by Mr Benson with its glorious fat snakey bass line and one of the 'baddest' searing synth solos ever commited to vinyl.

The second version is a remake of the track by the genre-defining D'Angelo. This take on the song completely turns the original on its head, making for deep rootsy, drunk and skanky slow groove that just gets deep under the skin.

Sometimes when life is crap, in those darkest moments, you need something to lift your spirits.
    You need to feel happy.

My happy song. As soon as I hear the intro it puts a smile on my face. Such a great feelgood tune.

    Devin Townsend - Life.

Here's a superb cover of Daft Punk's track 'Something About Is' by  Pomplamoose.

    Arguably better than the original..

You've probably already discovered the Pomamoose Sister act - Scary Pockets? They have plenty of covers on YouTube.

When you've got Sam Wilkes on bass you know you it's going to be a great groove.
