  • I just bought the two Bros Landreth albums after seeing them live. They were sensational live.

I prefer Highway, Free At Last and Heartbreaker, but they're all good.

To be honest I'm not really a fan of modern electric blues at all. My nomination I'm sure won't be popular with a lot of blues purists - he's certainly not a pure blues player, which I think may be why I like him... Chris Rea. I think he's hugely underrated as a guitarist as well as being a great songwriter. I love his odd blend of blues and what sounds like 60s film music influences, and even if it can stray into cheesy pop territory some of the time, I don't mind - better that than cliché-ridden Strat-and-hat blues noodling.

For some Zeppelin influenced stuff - I do like Great Van Fleet (some say a clone, but second album is less Zep formula)

@Lewy you recommended The Black Keys to me for sonic filth !  They're still delivering the goods many albums on.

BoJo/Beth Hart album is a cracker

    Rival Sons

    38 Special

    Stevie Salas

    Later Jack White albums

(A lot of people like Blackberry Smoke - bit to Country for me)

Imagine something sharp and witty here ......
