We have a mini hi-fi system in our living room. How can I get Spotify music to play on that system? We have Sonos Bridge and Connect on our music room hi-fi, they work very well and are neatly controllable from iPad or smartphone. Another Sonos Connect could be used but the Connect is a big box, I am looking for a small neat solution that is controlled in a similar way to the Sonos system. Connecting a smartphone or an iPod is a no no in this case.
All suggestions most welcome, thanks.

works well, but smaller from memory and cheaper than the Connect. Might be of use to you.

it has a stereo out so you can plug it into your existing amp.

It's very cheap, simple, and it works v well.
It's a bit silly really - I have mine connected with audiophile interconnects I bought years ago and cost 3 times the price of the bluetooth receiver. Times change!
Apple TV V3 is the only version with digital audio out.

Gives you a choice of using the Chromecast's own DAC. Or if you've a system with an optical input you can use that DAC instead.
