New tuners recommendation

Could you help me decide, or recommend, some new tuners for my Hondo lead copies?
Both guitars have the original tuners on, and work ok-ish, but a recent change to 10’s on one is causing it slip a little. Not to mention the bushings fall out when I change the strings ( most are wedged in by bits of paper!)

Only problem is i’ll have to enlarge the holes to 10mm

Don't have experience of those tuners but what I will say is that enlarging the holes is so easy and quick to do using a reamer that costs pennies if you don't already have one so don't let that put you off.

The Axesrus locking ones are decent, or at least the ones I bought in the past were. Just buy a reamer and get to work on them holes.

Or you could look at Gotoh, their stuff is usually bang on.

If you’re going to enlarge the holes, get one of these -

It makes a perfect job and is foolproof to use.

Even if you use a normal reamer or drill, always go from the back of the headstock, and only deep enough to take the tuner body - *not* from the front or all the way through. The threaded collar will go through the original hole.
