    Crack is expensive.
    Be seeing you.

  • Looked at the listing and thought oh that’s just another blue strat

  • I was surprised he was only trying to make £800 on it. Then I noticed that was just the starting bid.

This flip-flop guitar and Mayer's £3k strat copy just shows how well PRS understands the market. By rights it should have been still-born, but they're going like hot cakes.

This practice only exists if people keep buying from resellers.

    Great looking guitar though

  • Would anyone seriously pay £3,500 or £10,000 just for bragging rights?

I have seen this done on cars before (ultra rare Ferraris and the like) but never on guitars. Is this a first?

Been around for a while. I think the most mainstream one is probably the John Petrucci in Mystic Dream.

The £50 postage is the deal-breaker for me.

Just checked this again - relisted (surprise!) for £200 less. One bid from an account with zero feedback....

  • I'm *loving* that paint
Too much gain... is just about enough \m/

I'm probably the only member of this forum mentioned by name in Whiskey in the Jar ;)

  • Love the irony of flipping a guitar with flip-flop paint!

I had an SG Special in "Flip Flop Teal" about 20 years ago.  Pretty terrible guitar, but the paint looked good.

Don't say it's the one that's been sat on eBay for at least 18 months at £2,500 because it's "rare"...

If it is, it's not me selling it!  I sold mine for about 400 quid in 2004.

I've just found it on eBay.  Can't see the serial number, it could be my old one but I think it had an ABR-1 bridge, not a Nashville.

  • He's selling two from different accounts on ebay, item location gives it away.
