You could consider doing  Justin Sandercoe's Music Theory course (which is on his website) - 9.99$ for 6 months, or 99$ for life time access.

@hotpickups   Justin's Course is a whole series of videos, and, if you subscribe, there are pdf's with some of the lessons that you can download. You can take a look at the very beginning of the Course for free.

On Justin's site, click first on "Musicianship" on the menu bar across the top, and then click on "Theory"

You’ll be able to teach him a few things!
Roland said: Scales are primarily a tool for categorising knowledge, not a rule for what can or cannot be played.
Supportact said: [my style is] probably more an accumulation of limitations and bad habits than a 'style'.

Thanks for that. However, I’m quite taken with the style of teaching that David does and so was hoping if anyone here had some user experience for themselves going to him I.e. paid for one of his courses etc?

You could try my lessons at hubpages.com, free, and can answer any questions on the forum. Best place to start is with harmonised scales, you might know that!

I’ll certainly take a look but sorry I’m quite set on this guys teaching style and want to explore this Avenue first. I’ve been to so many teaching sites and don’t seem to be getting anywhere where I want to be

    Thanks though.

I can recommend this course: https://truefire.com/guitar-lessons/street-theory-for-guitarists/C1163

There are some really good courses on Truefire for CAGED system and more advanced theory as well.

Thanks for the pointers guys. However, my thread was started to ask if anyone has had experience with that particular online resource etc?

    Thanks again

I checked the the lessons and in the course you mentioned and I can tell you right away what I didn't like - modes are in the beginning. From my experience this only confuses people. The correct way to learn theory IMHO is:

    - Triads
    - Triads with major and minot 7th
    - Pentatonics and CAGED
    - Concept of the Nashville number system
    - Major and Minor scales

Only after you master the above you should start thinking about modes. My view of modes is simply an extension of the major and scales.

Yep. Apart from CAGED I agree, modes are later on.
Roland said: Scales are primarily a tool for categorising knowledge, not a rule for what can or cannot be played.
