This is interesting....

Quite a few people saying how good it is. I've downloaded it to try it - not expecting much TBH, but it's meant to be better than BiasAmp and BiasFX.

Same - I'm too busy 'working' from home to possibly test it before 6pm....

Nice I've heard the ge modeling is supposed to be really good.

I'm thinking about investing in a GE 150

Just tried it, and doesn't seem too shabby - especially for free.

  • What are folks using to connect their guitars, then? Or am I missing the point?

I believe you can use things like iRig.

I was using the Yamaha SessionCake I got cheap recently.

Smart move by Mooer - if people like the sounds from the app then they'll be more likely to check out the pedal versions. I've got an iRig on the way now, so will give it a try once that arrives :)

Got a USB C-to-USB 3.0 hub on the way as I plan to use this with my iPad Pro and Behringer UMC22.

I am an absolute duffer at this...would you be able to use these in conjunction with Garageband?

I would be cautious about this. I had one for Christmas and I really liked it at first, loads of good sounding presets, drum machine, looper etc, and although it felt a bit flimsy I only need something for home use, so no big issue. Then I tried to update the firmware, firstly connecting to my iMac, absolutely no way of even launching the software, then on a Windows 10 pc - this time the software loaded but would not detect the GE 150 no matter what I tried. So no way of easily loading or editing presets. Swapped it for a Boss GT-1 which is sturdier and the software actually works!

They might have improved the software since of course.
    I love my brick

Just been playing into iPad via old iRig and I’m really impressed. Fairly intuitive compared to some other apps and sounds crisp and enjoyable. Good lockdown freebie. Thanks for heads up.

I can’t get any sound from it at the moment, do you have to sign up first?

Interesting how would you compare them on sound?

The Boss much better than the GE150 in my view.

Hmm that's not good as I didn't really rate the Boss modelling.

Koss59: I just downloaded onto old iPad and used cheap iRig adaptor. No signing up involved. Worth persevering.

We all hear things differently don’t we?

I’ve tried this app this afternoon, and don’t rate it compared with my Boss and also Bias Amp 2 on the iPad.

Hmm just discovered that the GE200 has updated firmware with improved modelling using the tech from this app.

I've also just ordered one :)

I haven’t dabbled with using an iPad or phone for years due to latency issues I had at the time. Is there an interface about now that has resolved latency?
