This is the 61st solo of the Month (SotM) Challenge.
You can download backing track from Soundcloud below:
https://soundcloud.com/thefretboard/sotm61-2020-07-digitalkettle-reggatta-mondatta
Record your solo over the top of it and then submit it (ideally in mp3 format) to solos@theFB.co.uk
Also, feel free to comment on how you approached the solo, which will add a bit more interest and maybe we can learn something from each other.
Title: Reggatta Mondatta
Tempo: 132 bpm with, what I'd call, a half time feel
Chords:
[ C#m / / / |A/C# / / / | C#m / / / |B / / / ] x 2
[ C#m / / / |A / / / | C#m / / / |B / / / ] x 2
End on C#m
The backing track has some headroom to add your solos. Add your solo and (as a guideline) try to avoid boosting the overall level beyond that if possible. That way the entries should be at roughly the same level and we won't get into loudness wars.
Voting will start soon after the submission deadline, with each voter selecting their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice.
First choice gets 5 points - Second choice gets 3 points - Third choice gets 1 point
The order and scores of the top three entries will be announced soon after the voting ends.
No prizes. It's just for fun.

Edited because I originally posted on the wrong thread.
Been following the ‘Shutup & Play’ channel for a while...he really nails stuff.
Added to playlist. That makes 3 entries so far.
I found this one hard. I wanted to shred. But nothing matched. So i dug deep into my inner chill zone and (after some wine and chocolate) pulled out a smooth shred-free baby.
Charvel San Dimas
Bias FX2
Several custom patches
Reaper
Added to playlist. That makes 5.
You can send a new mix if you want to up to the deadline.
Once the voting starts you can submit up to the voting deadline (31st July), it's just that you might miss out on early voters.
If anyone wants to provide a backing track let me know. If not, I've already got the next one good to go.
I'm got a blues jazz track lined up that's somewhat influenced by a Robben Ford tune. But I can have a go if there's enough interest.
