So sad. Amazing playing on those early FM and John Mayall records. Such a tragic tale after that as well.

Oh gosh.  I've often wondered about the state of his health, there's been so little news of him in recent years.  RIP

I think that's one of the saddest things is what happened after the initial success. I was watching a documentary on him the other week and it was so sad to see he was a shadow of his former self.

So sad, especially having led such a difficult life after burins so bright in those few years that established him as such a distinctive voice in the blues revival, not to mention the creative genius of the early (and original)  Fleetwood Mac.

I did see him once with the Splinter Group and even then a shadow of his former self. But what he created at his peak with Mayall and FM and his early solo stuff was an amazing legacy to leave us. Such a shame that so much of his life spent the way it was, there was little sense that he was a happy soul.
    RIP.

What a fabulous player he was. I had a faint hope Mick and John could play with him again (I know Mick harboured this too). He was absolutely peerless in his pomp. RIP Peter.
