"...low cost but the highest quality neck
you will get anywhere..."
Fuck it; I'm getting rid of my Mex Tele neck with its measly 6 tuner holes and perfect finish...and buying this.
Someone tried to make a 12 string neck out of it.
Apparently, it didn't quite work out.
"This guitar originally had two humbuckers, which shows a lack of imagination." Wtf? It had two hummers because it's fucking supposed to have two hummers. Yes I know this didn't begin life as a Lester, but is he really saying that the man who designed the original solid double hummer guitar 'lacked imagination' just because the semi or hollow bodied guitars had done it first? Did Les Paul lack imagination? Really? For the whole of his 93 years, one of the most admired, feted, talented and skilled jazz guitarists the planet has ever seen, "lacked imagination" because he wanted a guitar with twin hummers??
I have no problem with someone disagreeing with the majority, but don't be a twat about it. Just say "I've always preferred having a humbucker twinned with a single coil" which is a fair enough viewpoint and is open to debate on perfectly polite terms. But to come out with something as absurd as "it lacks imagination" says more about him than it does about any of the squillions of Lester, Stang, PRS and 335/3/9 etc players who are perfectly happy with their guitars' 'limitations'.
Or am I, as I suspect, just getting myself needlessly upset over nothing?
:-O
