I spend most of my time preparing classes or practising at low volumes so as not to upset everybody BUT on the odd chance to let rip I suddenly realise that when all that volume and harmonics are released then playing style has to adapt massively.
For a start diddly didly and fiddly fiddly don't cut it as anyone in a half mile radius can probably hear. All those harmonics need reigning-in and precise strumming and picking is massively important. It is almost as if I feel the need to produce great grinding riffs in pre-formed song-ettes..
I really need to concentrate on suitable riff sets for this ultra volume playing ~ 40w +
What do you bang out?? I find ZZ Top inspired riffs seem to fit-in quite nicely... (must learn some then!)
