Ok... seems the cats out of the bag now!...
A few years back I built an amp for my pal Dom.
He still uses the amp over all of his boutique and vintage gear... it did and still does sound cracking to be fair...
Fast forward to now and myself and
@Danielsguitars have decided that the amp should be released into the wild and we are putting it into production and taking orders from anyone that fancies a truly great sounding amp!...
I’ll let you all have a gander over the images and have a listen to the quick video we shot!...
Ladies and gents... I give you the “Ghetto 310”
Quick vid demo...
https://youtu.be/u6LOzSkPhb4
the amp was recorded with an sm57 straight into logic... the sound you hear is the amp, clean and then cranked... massive thanks to @Dainty for providing the arms and hands in the video...
so, a bit about the amp...
We separated the V1 cathodes so we can get two distinctive and different sounding channels... We have a classic American style sound in the “normal” channel and more of a British flavour in the bright channel... we also added a variable negative feedback control to tighten up the response and give it a bit more clean headroom should you want it...
valve wise we have:
JJ 12ay7 in V1... Mullard ecc83 in V2 and the PI... 2 x EH 6l6's and a JJ rectifier giving 35watts+
The 3 x 10' Eminence LEGEND 1028K speakers make this amp sound amazeballs...
it breaks up beautifully albeit at a bit of a loud volume
about 35watts (bit more if you run it flat out ).
