Podcasts - Whos doing them?

Anyone doing podcasts - Do you need some sort of host ?

I assume its just an audio file uploaded to somewhere then distributed?

I'm sometimes on the Production Expert podcast.

It is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify etc as well as hosted on the Production Expert site.
Yes it is an audio file that is uploaded/hosted.

So do you have some sort of Hosting account that you upload to ?

I'd have to ask the guys that run the site as to what they sceptically do but yes if you go to the website you can play the podcast on the website, which means it is being hosted.
You could easily do this on your own website, if you have one.

My son does a show for student radio which he also puts out as a podcast. But just, I think, on YouTube over a static image.

@jason is the podcast king on here. I listen to his on PocketCasts although I think he also has it on Spotify,etc,etc.

i use Captivate to host, $19 a month for hosting and distribution

no idea why it’s in dollars, they are based in Sheffield
