    It's interesting... and so are the designer's comments on what he set out to achieve.  Hmmm.

    In terms of functionality, I couldn't help noticing those string angles behind the nut.

    Very interesting. I love the detachable pickups that you can move around in front of the strings - that’s got to be unique, and sounds great.

    It might well be a clever take on the traditional, and it might sound very unique, but I chose to close the page after I read this quote from the designer:

    "A traditional guitar is a fashion accessory that gives us a distinct identity," he says. "What really bothers me is that these fashions create strong expectations and social problems like sexism. You play a Gibson SG, you do rock; you play a Fender Tele, you do blues; you have a red Fender Strat, you like Knopfler."

    It is so sad that this nonsense crept into a what is a brave new design that should be able to stand its ground on its own strengths.

    I like it when someone tries alternative takes on guitar design. However this one looks like a triumph of form over function. As I gigging instrument it lacks simple access to the controls for those between-bar volume adjustments, or the Gary Moore mid-phrase pick-up changes. I’d also hate to think what you do if you knock a pickup out of place whilst thrashing out a rhythm. Nice try.

    It's funny because whenever I've seen this thing I've assumed it's for pretentious indie-jazz people who couldn't possibly be seen with a "name" guitar

    Would love to try one, and great to see someone trying something new, even if I can't see myself owning one. Not sure it's going to fix sexism mind.

    The text seems to suggest it's a guitar for people who don't like guitars.

    There are plenty of other instruments to choose from.

    ...like who? I think I'd probably be into pretentious indie-jazz if you could point me towards people to listen to ;-)

    I’m super interested in it. Think they look really cool and love the idea of getting something different.

    RE: reference to sexism, reminds me a bit of the Dreadbox Nymphes press release. Again you’re dealing with people speaking in their second language. I’m not sure what his point was: I guess that existing guitars invoke preexisting  largely masculine images? I guess that can be an issue in terms of broadening the market - not sure if it is though. 

    Anyway it’s on my wishlist for now

    Love the design concept but the sound clips I've heard before don't excite me much. Very hollow, with not much resonance or sustain.
