As for "when am I ready?" You'll never be ready. It works in reverse, you become ready by doing it. - pmbomb

RIP
Seriously though, a great mind and always seemed like a proper civilised gentleman. RIP Bamber.
87 - Looks like he had a good innings - So a starter for 10 and RIP to BG
*I may have looked like I was drunk but...
I think this sums him up well:
Peter Gwyn, executive producer of University Challenge - "Bamber was unlike anyone else on television when the programme started back in 1962 - he was utterly charming, erudite and, at times, seemingly omniscient, and his 25 years spent presenting the programme established it firmly as the institution it is now. He was a unique presence in British broadcasting and he'll be very sadly missed."
So it wasn't that he knew everything but that he loved learning.
It's not a shame that he's gone (for us), it's a shame there aren't more role models like him in the public eye.
got to say, he's not looking so good these days, almost looks like the start of parkinsons tremors
just because you do, doesn't mean you should.
What's got an IQ of 150 and green pubic hair?
Bamber Grass-groin.
RIP, Mr G
