The Rizla paper or PTFE tape has the advantages of being non-destructive and entirely reversible.
For the superglue method, I would still remove most of the machinehead. Press the bushing fully down. Apply touches of adhesive around the rim of the bushing from the rear of the headstock. Protect the finish.
May attract wasps in summer though.

Alternatively, I can nab some glue from work and see to it when I've got a bit of time.
