  • I haz the D15 mahogany Martin a 12 fretter which is virtually steel string classical guitar it is so playable
The tone improves greatly as you play them. The Taylors I have played are very efficient and playable but lack character for fingerstyle playing for me

Stop fannying about and get the Martin. I have the 000-15M (the 000-15SM is the 12-fret model with the split headstock thingy).
Apart from being butter to play, they smell like candy floss.

I also have a D28 and the 000-15 plays smoother than that. It is very, very light but has such a sweet sound. Not necessarily very muddy for a mahogany but you're not going to get big booming bass out of it.

  • If I never got my Larrivee (LOVE it!!) I would have serious GAS urges for a Martin 000-17SM.
    Looks good, OP - congrats!!
