Yeah I love Haugen as well. Even when I already know what he's teaching he's so nice to listen to and a great example of how to communicate ideas.

And the amp sounds GREAT.

I wanted to mention a couple of timestamps that sounded particularly good but basically it’s all of them. In particular the Hiwatt setting sounds like it would work beautifully for me.

It does sound rather nice. Honestly I don't see the absence of reverb in this style of amp as a negative at all.

I have a Sportsman and a Slant 6V and they're incredible but they just make me want to try more Carr amps. Problem is that they're so expensive! I'm excited for you @stickyfiddle the Bel Ray looks awesome!

It came today and I just got back from a jam with it.

My god…

I don’t want to be all honeymoon period but this is the amp I’ve wished existed for something like 20 years. The Hiwatt setting is my immediate favourite as expected, but there isn’t a bad sound in there. I’ll do a proper NAD thread & write up once I’ve had some more time with it but I’m definitely going to sell 2 other amps, and possibly 3.

Yeah a couple of other guys here in Abu Dhabi. Guitar vibes sitting somewhere in the middle of The Verve, QOTSA and Death Cab for Cutie(?). I don’t really know but it sounded great

@Boromedic ; Definitely my Badcat Cub and Tonemaster Princeton. The Cub is simply redundant with this alongside it. And I never really expected to keep the TMPR long (got it in a good pedal trade) as the TM Deluxe is better for my needs. I have a mate who is keen to have it so that's an easy decision. This will replace it as the small under-desk amp for when I'm at home.

I'm 50/50 on also selling my Cornell Romany 12, but I'm not in a hurry on that one as it def does things my others don't. Will see how much I use it over the next few months but I'm not desperate to keep or sell.

@Teyeplayer there's no doubting the price is a lot. Thankfully I didn't have to pay UK VAT so it was a bit less. The sales above should cover a big chunk of it.

The biggest problem now is I'm going to want more of them - definitely a Mercury V and probably something blackpanel-Fender-flavoured.

Have been seriously looking at the Mercury V and the Telstar which has BOTH 6L6 and EL84 tubes, This guy does fab demos of both.

@stickyfiddle , cool some good stuff, the Belray must be pretty awesome! Mind you I have a Rambler, it's amazing so I'm sure the Belray is as good.
