    @digitalkettle Yes and no, that is Julian Lage but the song is 'Ryland'. I mean a jammed version of Ryland. But I am glad that you picked it up :). Cheers

    @ElectricXII Thanks a lot! Actually that small amp on the low wall was for the vocals. You can see the bass amp next to the drummer. It is also a very small Hartke HD15 practice amp.

    The Dove sounds great, did you have a pickup in it, or is it just filling the room?  I like her voice and the songs too.  Seems like the audience knows them as well.

    There’s a pickup - I took out the factory-fitted preamp system and put in a plain passive Fishman undersaddle strip (not normally very good-sounding by modern standards!), but the critical factor is the Boss AD-8 modelling unit on the floor, which you can just see - it’s amazing for ‘de-piezo-ing’ the sound and making it really natural. What you can hear there is pretty close to the real acoustic sound, I think.

    You may be surprised that only three of the audience really know the songs - our former drummer and bass player were also there, and MrsICBM, and she’s filming so not interacting much - and most of what you can hear is the drummer, she was quite enthusiastic :)

    I always thought Bonnie’s songwriting was great - I did most of the music for In My Heart and Where You Are, and a little bit of Picture Of You, but she wrote all the lyrics. They just came over so well in that little room - as I said in the Pictures thread it really is 23 years since we last played together, but it sounded so natural to do them again it was almost like yesterday - I found it quite emotional really.

    Thanks for posting those links @ICBM.  I really enjoyed those songs, your playing, your friend's singing, and the cosy and informal vibe.  I would love to go and participate in wee sets at a place like that.

    This was us a week and a bit ago on the standard local festival trek - love this band, such fun to play with :-)

    Usual average sound on stage - seemed to be fine out from - soundman loved his vocal delay!

    Meant to post this ages ago and forgot. Bit of Del Amitri from a couple of months back. This was our first run out with this song iirc so the boys have got the lyrics a bit more sorted now.

    Sounds really good. Great song to cover and it sounds like you are really doing it justice.

    Ah thanks @Lebarque and @bobeffect ;;;

    Its a Maybach Capitol through a JRAD Tim Pierce in to an Egnater Tweaker 15 head and 1x12 cab. For the solo I might have either just turned the guitar volume up or stepped on a Suhr Riot…..can’t quite tell which I did on this occasion, depends how the mood takes me in the moment. Edit, it’s the Riot for the solo, just watched it again.

    Del Amitri are a band you rarely hear covered (at least round here anyway) who have a great back catalog of songs. We also cover Kiss This Thing Goodbye with this band.

    @p90fool I loved your rendition and interpretation of Walking By Myself and the fact that you didn't just mimic Gary Moore's playing.  That's a really nice beefy and honky tone for a Strat.  What amp were you going through?

    Thanks @BillDL ;
    I'm not very good at mimicking anyone's playing to be honest, I'm too lazy!
    The amp is a Hot Rod Deluxe, so plenty of midrange even with a vintage-wind Strat bridge pickup.

    Love the sound of that Strat Sir! What amp are you using? Oh shit I just read it! Sounds superb- never heard a HRD sound so good! Pedals? Has to be? Can’t be the orrible crunchy channel surely?
