I remember seeing the thing about the company address and thinking it was a strange one. Considering they have a turnover in the millions (only information they told me when I had some dealings with them in the past). I'd imagine that he uses an accountant. Most accountants I know worth thier salt will allow you to register your 'office address' as thier address. Something I do for my company for the same reasons, my actual comany adderss is my home address which I don't want every man and their dog able to lookup.

Whilst there may be an innocent mistake or straight forward reason for all this, from my perspective there's a few red flags, and whilst I've dealt with them before, I'd suggest anyone doing so currently should proceed with caution. I'd have to lean towards @OilCityPickups comments, as there's not many 'well run' buisness who's companies house info looks this way.

Well, given that they only submit micro-accounts for all those businesses and you can only do that if your turnover is below a million, I'd say that somebody's been telling porkies somewhere along the line.

An full credit report has actual red flags on it !

EDIT - There's an active compulsory strike off on companies house which will filter down to any credit checking / insight facility.

Most of whom operate a traffic light or flag system where a red flag isn't a good thing.

Here is a handy free open to all insight from Endole - https://open.endole.co.uk/insight/company/13531341-fat-bottom-guitars-ltd

As at 17/11/2025 11:20 it currently has a red flag showing on it's report followed by the words compulsory strike off pending.

This is clearly in the public domain and supports my comment.

If the a director or other person(s) association with this company believes this information to be incorrect they should take it up with companies house as we have now brought it to their attention.

Does nobody yearn for the olden days when nobody knew anything about anybody’s business other than the bloke behind the counter was a miserable twat? The days before anybody on the planet could be forensically examined for public scrutiny?
Funny old game, isn’t it :-)

Can you link to it, or even just give me your own assurance that's true?

He's already shown himself to be free and easy with the legal threats, and you can bet your bottom dollar he's watching this thread, so I'm keen that nothing gets said that could get anyone in trouble...

I’ve checked myself and can’t find evidence of that personally.

I think it would be a wise idea to delete that comment unless gubble provides some proof quite quickly.

To be fair, gubble doesn't actually state that there are red flags on the person in question's credit report. He just said that "an credit report has actual red flags on it." Not sure what that's supposed to mean.

Credit reports don't have actual red flags on them in the literal sense. If they did, they would be rather cumbersome to read, particularly if the flag(s) was/were being flown on (a) flagpole(s).

If you're not sure and the person in question is known to be litigious, why would you quibble?  It's a no-brainer.  And it's not your neck on the block  ;)

Wish them every success, would be a nice success story.

£12,500 Rent on the store per annum

Exclusive of service charge, building insurance, business rates, utilities and all other outgoings.

    Further £8200 in Rates.

That is a lot of monthly expense to take on in a genuinely struggling market, having to find circa £2000 per month to keep the doors open before you even pay yourself.

  • Looks a nice store. I’ve not dealt with them before, but that looks like the sort of guitar shop I’d happily have a browse.

  • I'd suggest legal threats in lieu of a basic conversation is not the best advertisement for a business.

To be fair, he can't respond on here, so he doesn't have a choice but to do it by email (having been previously banned for breaking the site rules under one of his other business names, and then trying to sign up additional accounts to get around it).

@digitalscream.   Why don't you just delete all the most recent comments back to and including the one on 9th Nov that brought this thread back to the foreground (sorry nero1701) and then close off the thread to further comments?  It's unfair that you should be having waste your time fielding cease and desist emails for something like this.

No, it's fine - I defend all non-defamatory statements as a matter of course anyway.

Honestly, if I was worried about that sort of thing, I'd be in the wrong job ;)

Whilst not wishing to de-rail the thread, wanted to say think I speak for all of us when I say we really apprecaite it, whilst I'm sure there's (somtimes) some level of enjoyment to what you do for the forum, the easy option would be to just close the such threads and avoid the hassle. The fact you take the time out of your day to defend peoples rights to voice their views and experiances on here is commendable. So thanks.
