Marshall Power EL34 100\100 amp as pedal platform ?

Danny1969Danny1969 Frets: 10521

Ignoring the line level needed to get full power (nobody needs full power from one of these) what do people think of using the power amp as a pedal platform, would the lack of tone controls be a prob ?

And next question is what pre amp pedal would sound killer, a Bogner Ecstasey Red or similar ?

Surely tone controls from the pedal could compensate if there's enough travel and if they're voiced like preamps. There are people running AMT / Poweramp solutions, maybe @digitalscream has had some experience here?

The HT Metal should easily drive the bllx off the Marshall. It uses 2x15 volt split supplies.
