    Mic is short for microphone.
    Mike is short for Michael.
    Now I'm confused.

Fuck off, you're all mental. Mic'd is stupid. I can't see any reason why the verb to place a microphone on something needs to be spelled with a c instead of a k. Miked is much easier to read, leaves no doubt as to the pronunciation and is categorically the right thing to type. On the other hand, if you're shortening the name of the object it makes sense to maintain the "c" as that's how it's spelled.

@Panama_Jack666, @hobbio, @Brize, go and start your own language.
    :))
    Still mic'd for me.

Oh you absolute working class heathen. How could anyone with a brain less than the size of a walnut descend to watching that puerile dross? You should be ashamed of yourself, you've obviously not been educated at a decent enough university have you? I pity you. I shall immediately write a treatise on the calamitous state of the film industry( at my writing desk in my second home in the Lake District) and send it to The Times forthwith. Tish and fie to thee. Good day sirrah!

I reckon Mic'd is clearly incorrect, because microphone is not a proper noun. It should be mic'd.

The traditional English abbreviation for microphone is mike. As bicycle to bike. We don't like long single vowels that end with a single consonant. So to a dictionary compiler of a century ago, 'mic' would not have been acceptable. So basing any verb on 'mic' would also be unacceptable.

What we have adopted since the Second World War is the American notion of simply adding a suffix to any noun to create an instant new verb. So we now accept that a child 'biked' to school instead of 'rode' or 'cycled' to school.

So microphoned or miked would be the answers in keeping with our English traditions :)
