Some of you may have seen the build thread:
http://thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/comment/1722078#Comment_1722078But its now home with me.
All of the discussions about it have been over email - I never met
@Andyjr1515 until last night when he delivered it. So I was a little anxious and excited...
The Hiscox case opened and... bloody hell. Wow, what an instrument. Andy kept saying "its not perfect" but to me it is - I love the attention to detail and the handcrafted nature of every part of the guitar. It plays beautifully straight out the case and the neck is a joy. I had a brief play through the amp last night but my son was in bed so I couldn't do so for very long - the pickups sound great, the neck unit especially. The piezo bridge is really even sounding - and even through a guitar amp sounds 'acoustic'. It rings like a bell and it genuinely fits me like a glove.
I can't thank Andy enough for the guitar and it genuinely has its own voice. I love it... I'll try to get some better pics and maybe a vid or sounds another time. Til then... excuse the "cat that got the cream" face
Never Ever Bloody Anything Ever.

Showoff.
I have to say that seeing it and hearing it played so well, it looked and sounded fantastic. I drove home with a BIG smile on my face
@Alegree. Pretty sure I opted for a fairly 'standard' humbucker 500k and .22 cap in the end. It seemed a bit bright on my little Vox valve amp which is why I wondered about changing the values, but on Tim's rig it sounds sooooo right....
Your observation of them being bright is great, I was really worried they'd end up too dark for the Jazzmaster'esque neck without 1M pots. I'll have to keep the recipe to hand, it was a very fun project which I might end up playing around with again, and I'm glad they've ended up in your excellent work!
Enjoy it.
Probably the only guitar you'll ever need
Congrats @impmann and @Andyjr1515 . That's special.
