    Why?

    The PJ pickup combination is the worse possible permutation of classic Fender bass pickups. P, yes. JJ, yes. Even PP would be preferable.

    How did you find slurrying that final stained coat? 

    Lot of folks avoid slurrying a stained surface, but - as long as you don't overdo it - I find it works very well :)
