This looks fun.

I fancied doing a Jr, but the bolt-on put me off a wee bit, so I've gone for the 12 String Tele Kit. 

No plans at all so far, I'll see what it looks like when it gets here first, i think. Though there is this odd finish I've been meaning to try out...

Yeah, must admit I dithered over how bad the bridge would be, but there is a Gotoh 12 Tele one if it is too awful, so what the 'eck

Yeah, looking at the hardware I was thinking of asking them to leave them out if only to knock a quid or two off the delivery

I've got a new finish or two to try out, so I'm kinda aiming for the ultimate relic...should be fun anyway.

Would a blade style pickup better for 12 string rather than 6 pole pieces as shown in the picture?

That's a fine point Jal - I was thinking I'd get Mr Mojo to do me some pickups for it, and he did a wonderful Charlie Christian blde for a Tele before. Take away some of the jangle maybe, but what the hell, I'm sure the neck pickup would make up for it
