as above ..
have been upcycling some old furniture have been using Annie sloan chalk paint (other brands available).
it covers over bare wood or already varnished/ paint, straight on,with no prep....
there is lovely daphne blue or a dusty pink :-)
once it is painted and dry, you put a clear wax on top to seal it.
had some great results on furniture so dont see why it won't work on a guitar.... ?
any thoughts or experience using this?
thanks in advance
cheers Mark.

and thanks to Darnweight ,yes I believe milk paint and chalk paint are the same! milk paint being American .....
could be wrong ?
have painted various wooden furniture in chalk paint ,with very good results .....:-)
do you know of anyone painting chalk/milk paint on top of already painted guitar body ?
thinking aloud it might be better on bare wood body....
would be cheaper and easier to just buy a bare wood body.
cheers Mark .
