LOOKING FOR MUSICIANS!!!

What's Hot
  Hello!

LOOKING FOR MUSICIANS!!!

I´m a musician from Portugal now living in BSE.
I have played in several bands like Ciborium, Devonian, Mafetasy... etc.
My last band, still active, is a studio band called Tyrania.

I have several projects done, i love music, no matter the style.
I do prefer to play in metal bands, but i love classical music, rock 0f the 80´s , blues etc.

I have 3 different projects in my computer and would like to do more things with that projects.
The best way to explain is compare the projects with well known bands:

1- doom project influenced in Candlemass (only a example)
2- symphonic project influenced in Nigthwish (only a example)
3- And the project that I WISH TO FIND MUSICIANS NOW Influenced in AMON AMARTH (only a example)

I´m a guitar player an i need other guitarist, a drummer, a bassist and if possible vocalist.
The guitars are tuned in C.
I have some songs done and recorded in my computer ready to play, and some not finished.

I'm looking for musicians to play these songs and to help writing new songs also.

Craigslist.  Make sure you hold auditions in a layby on the A14, preferably after 23:00 on a Friday night.

Unless you're driving and can't find your destination. The place is a veritable rabbit warren with either illegible street name signs or none at all. I work on the eastern edge of the town and having been nearly an hour late for both of the gigs I tried to play because of the impossibility of finding any given address in the town I now refuse to drive into the town - just to my employer's address and straight back out again. Otherwise I'd need a LARGE ball of string to find my way out again. The one-way streets appear to be allocated at random, or even with the deliberate intention of preventing ANY vehicular access to some streets.

I have been a passenger in someone else's car, and found it a nice place to walk about in.

    EDIT BTW I LOLed @Monquixote too :)

I've played at the town hall a few times in the past for the Rotary Club dos. Nice place and the tiny pub opposite (with the petrified cat on the wall) serves a nice pint.

The Nutshell is reputed to be Englands smallest pub.

The town hall gigs are OK but sharing the only small lift with the caterers and other sundry contracted persons makes getting gear in or out a time consuming process.

  • Used to play The Grapes fairly regularly before I left the band and moved up North. Very enthusiastic crowd. Impossible to park anywhere near the venue though.

  • Yes it´s Bury St Edmunds \,,/
Obviously, that's where they buried St Edmund, the Vikings led by Ivar the Boneless, beat him, shot him with arrows and then beheaded him, they didn't get on. Some might say that St Edmund should be patron saint of England, not George and his dragon.

I don't think Bury refers to an burial. It's a corruption of Burgh, which was Saxon-speak for an administrative area, cf Borough. I don't think anyone really knows where St Edmund is buried, but the town was definitely his patch.
